One of my favorites both in the painting and the engraving. This one picture in particular was the one image inspiration for the movie Gladiator and even much earlier than that the key inspiration for the Nero's Rome gladiator arena scenario in my own video game Hell Cab. The variations of tone and the depth effect in this engraving show amazing skill and craftsmanship.
